Each year we publish an invitation on our Facebook group for people to nominate houses with nice Christmas lights on the front of their houses for an award.
As of 2024 we have renamed this competition to "Best Dressed Christmas House".
The award is in the form of an engraved trophy which is presented by us on the doorstep of the relevant house.
Volunteers look through submitted photos and may visit houses to form an opinion if there is time.
On the trophy the following message is engraved on a plaque:
